Bingin' to a Pasar Malam in Singapore | A Food Story

I think the best workout one can do is to work her way out of the blue. It is this time of the year again where all my money go to food. But wait! Have you ever been hangry? Hangry as in angry due to hunger. I think most of us are emotional and moody when our hunger strikes our brain. Is it too much to ask for good food?

Well luckily, Singapore has so much to offer. When it comes to simple-to-complex kind of food, Singapore welcomes it all. So after nursing my broken heart and unstable emotions, my tummy lingers to something I never thought would satisfy my cravings with a good company on my side. (Watch out for photos below)

My students implore that food in Singapore is to die for so I bet my money to something that made me extra happy. I was expecting that these foods are expensive and out of hand but it made me believe in true love! This muah chee made from glutinous rice laded in sweetened peanut powder is mouthwatering to the point that I bought two packs all for me. (sorry not sorry)

People call it Pasar Malam that literally means night market  and literally blew my mind from finding cheaper phone accessories, kiddie rides, household equipment but most importantly FOOD. Foods that you don't normally buy at a much cheaper price. Whether you're a seafood or chicken fan or you have a sweet tooth, this is the perfect place to be. Oh! And mind you, I would like to recommend their seafood stall and dragon's breath that comes from red velvet and chocolate flavour and devour on the liquid nitrogen ice cream that will totally excite the soul out of you!

Just make sure that you go to the gym right after because the food is extremely sinful. So to my friends who welcomed me with an open arms in this great place, thank you! You don't know how much I owe you because you introduced me to this place. Good food + Good people = peace. What a formulae to enjoy my years to come here in Singapore! Peace out!

Always,
Jhara
